The eligibility pages at https://www.uspto.gov/patent/laws-and-regulations/examination-policy/subject-matter-eligibility and https://www.uspto.gov/patent/laws-and-regulations/examination-policy/subject-matter-eligibility-examination-guidance-date are very helpful. However, as the number of documents grows, the tedium of citing them weighs more and more heavily.
Would the editors please consider including a regularly-updated chapter or appendix of relevant guidance? Being able to cite to, say, "MPEP SME-5" rather than "'Recent Subject Matter Eligibility Decisions' (USPTO, Nov. 2, 2016)" would be very convenient. The MPEP is in a good position to provide consistent numbering, since superseded guidance can simply be removed and reserved. My understanding is that the electronic MPEP is much easier to update than the paper MPEP was, so I think --- although I may be wrong --- that keeping up with the memos to the corps and with the training material should not be a hardship.
If this should be an OG function, or should be taken up with someone else in the office, please don't hesitate to let me know.
